Estate Planning Seminar was well attended!
Marsha A. Goetting is a Professor & Extension Family Economics Specialist at Montana State University in Bozeman. During the past few years she has presented over 800 workshops reaching over 25,000 Montanans with financial and estate planning information. She has also authored over 75 MontGuides and bulletins. Dr. Goetting has received national, regional, and state awards for her programs. Dr. Goetting received her Bachelors & Masters degrees in Family Economics & Adult Education from Kansas State University and her PhD from Iowa State University. She has presented many financial workshops in our area over the years, and participants routinely praise her as being both knowledgeable and able to share that knowledge in terms the general public can grasp and utilize. In addition she makes her estate planning presentations interesting for the participants.
Dr. Goetting had a workshop in Culbertson on April 14, 2008, with 18 people attending. Some of the elements discussed:

*The impact of how property is titled determines to who inherits it.
*Considerations when choosing a guardian and conservator for minor children.
*How a will that can control the distribution of assets.

*How to receive a $100 stipend for completing an estate plan.
